Acceptable use policy

Elpis helps founders launch honest businesses. Each new project is checked automatically when it is created; doubtful cases are reviewed by a person.

Activities we refuse

• any activity that is illegal in the country where it is carried out;
• scams: promises of easy money, pyramid schemes, fake investments, phishing;
• misleading content: fake reviews, fake testimonials, fake diplomas, counterfeits, disinformation;
• sexual or adult-only content;
• weapons, ammunition, explosives;
• drugs and illegal substances, promotion of self-harm;
• hate, harassment, discrimination;
• regulated products or services offered without the required authorisation (medicines, investment advice, credit, gambling…).

Regulated activities carried out with the necessary authorisations are possible: they may be checked.

Prohibited practices

• publishing fake reviews, fake figures or false references, even if generated by mistake: read before you approve;
• prospecting private individuals without their consent, buying address lists, ignoring an unsubscribe;
• impersonating another person or another business;
• trying to get around the limits of the Service, the agents’ safeguards or the security of the platform.

In case of a breach

We may refuse a project, pause a business, archive content or suspend an account. Except in an emergency, we inform you and you can contest the decision by writing to [TO BE COMPLETED: e-mail address]. During a suspension, you can still export your data and delete your account.
